Who are you? 

My name is Pierre-Alexis I am 32 years old and I am a sommelier in a bistronomic restaurant in Bordeaux.

What is your expertise?

My job is to match the wines with the food in my restaurant, to advise customers and to try to take them on a journey by telling them stories about the wineries and the wine regions. 


What object gives rhythm to your daily life? 

My sommelier knife never leaves my side, always in my trouser pocket. 

What do you think would be a must-have item in a man's wardrobe?

The Oxford shirt is a great classic that can be used for any occasion and should be found in every wardrobe!

But an apron can also be a must-have in my opinion. 
At work or at home, I always have mine at hand!
The countdown to New Year's Eve is fast approaching!


What do you think is the perfect drink for the evening of 31 December?

31 December with a little cocktail made with champagne and orange juice: the mimosa! A great festive classic to share, everyone loves it!

If you had to give us one tip to avoid making mistakes at this event, what would it be? 
For me, not making a mistake means not wanting to go to too many parties or with too many people.

It's been a tough year, do yourself a favour and open your best bottles! I see too many customers who let their wine die in their cellar... cheers!
